Cospicua, Malta – 2023
Located in the southern part of Malta, the Cottonera Sports Complex is the largest sports facility in the country and has been designed with a unique and innovative approach. Consisting of three main areas, it has recently been enriched by an indoor Olympic-sized swimming pool made by Myrtha Pools. The pool has been built taking into account the World Aquatics technical specifications for international competitions. It is also equipped with all the accessories and cutting-edge technologies to offer today's and tomorrow's aquatic athletes a place to train and compete.
Thanks to the movable wall produced by ISI POOLS for Myrtha Pools, the Cottonera pool can be divided according to the different planned activities, such as swimming, water polo and artistic swimming.
Thanks to the inclusion of a movable bottom in the project, also produced by ISI POOLS, the depth of a section of the pool can be adjusted to facilitate swimming lessons for children, or for aquagym and aquabike courses.
This specific mobile floor consists of a load-bearing and floating structure and includes all the safety elements required by international standards.
The competition accessories are completed by a series of removable headwalls also produced by ISI POOLS for Myrtha Pools.
